Multi-Pads

Description

Specifically designed corner supports for paving slabs, engineered from high quality exterior grade polypropylene. Multi-Pads comprise a circular flat disk support with a centred, cruciform fin spacer for accurate paver slab positioning and gaping.

Uses

Multi-Pads are used in combination with suitable concrete paving slabs, GRC or CFC panels etc, to provide a fully trafficable surface to roofs, balconies, decks and podiums.

Allow ideal functional and aesthetic surface protection for Chemind or Grace waterproof membrane systems.

They offer the advantage of providing access to the roofing membrane when required, by easy removal of modular surfacing system.

Features

The paved area is self-draining.

Resistant to oils, acids and alkalis.

Will not react adversely with membrane systems.

Services may be concealed but are still remain accessible.

Facilitates easy membrane maintenance or repair.

Creates an air space under the paving reducing noise and heat transmission to the structural slab.

Paving can be laid on concrete slabs to fall, or can be laid level through the use of packers or bedding.

Application

Multi-Pads should be installed in accordance with the architectural drawing and commensurate with good building practice. Pre-cast concrete paving slabs are generally 600 x 600 x 40-50 mm thickness.

Multi-Pads may be elevated by the use of rigid packing, dry-pack mortar bedding or granulated rubber blocks.

NOTE

Particular design requirements for Multi-Pads used in conjunction with Chemind waterproofing membrane systems or Styrofoam Roofmate™ closed cell roof insulation (IRMA), should be referred to the Construction Products Technical Department.

Coverage

Coverage will vary according to paving slab size. Generally allow 1.5 Multi-Pads per paving slab.

Additional pads may be required if narrow or geometrically designed paving is required.
