Rendaflash

Description

A high impact resistant, UV stable, extruded thermoplastic flashing strip designed to give an aesthetic, clean line definition between waterproofing membrane and applied wall finishes and support membrane protection.

Uses

Chemind Rendaflash is suitable for use with all Chemind liquid membrane systems, as well as for Grace Bituthene^® and Procor^®.

It provides excellent low cost edge flashing detail for basement retaining walls, planter box walls and landscaped podium decks.

Installation of Rendaflash is carried out in conjunction with placement of membrane and protection sheet. Any special needs should be referred to Chemind Construction Products Technical Department

Preparation

Installed waterproofing membrane should be inspected and any damaged areas repaired before installation of Rendaflash proceeds.

Application

Install Chemind Rendaflash. Cut, score, bend fit or otherwise apply to surface.

Position top leg of Rendaflash against substrate at finished edge of membrane tanking with bottom leg of the "Z" profile securely retaining Protectoboard.

Hold in place with concrete pins fixed through top leg of "Z" profile. Take care to fasten above membrane edge.

Butt join strips to give a neat finish.

Fix Rendaflash at approximately 300 mm to 500 mm centres to provide a clean edge for render or paint.

Packaging

Rendaflash is supplied in 3.6m lengths.

Standard Chemind Rendaflash "Z" Profile is 16 mm x 5 mm x 16 mm.
